Gregory Scott-Gurner 1998

Gregory Scott-Gurner spent a 4 months’ residency at Grizedale in 1998.

Touchstone “stands singular and alone”, and was painted gold (then varnished) to give it a new life and identity. The gold linked to Scott-Gurner’s other piece in the forest, Picket Fence (1998), where the picket tops were also painted gold.
