Inspired by slate ‘tors’ (protruding rocks) which were sculpted by the last Ice Age. The sculpture is almost hidden from the path by brambles, ferns, leaves etc… during the summer but quite visible in winter.

‘Like a remnant fossil or the growth of a sprouting indigenous tree, the sculpture curves and rises as a hollow stone helix to imitate the curves of the Tor, celebrating it.’
